Big Ben Pokie

British themed games are a lot of fun, as it's always a bit of a novelty to see a bit of pommie culture in an online pokie. Think red phone booths, double decker buses and royalty. Seeing these integrated into a pokie always means that I am expecting to have some fun. Big Ben is a great game that includes 25 pay lines and a few nice features that I think you will enjoy.

Graphics and Animations

In terms of looks, Big Ben has a very British feel. I love the lantern symbols, crowns, London guard, Big Ben, and flags all laden with beautiful vibrant colors. I also like the way that Aristocrat production team crafted this game, as it has a nice combination of graphics and overall presentation.

Animations are smooth as well, with the game moving pretty seamlessly. I never experienced any sort of lag with this game and I was very pleased with the entire design of this game, as it is one of the better designed games this studio has put out.

Gameplay

The Big Ben pokie is a 5 reel, 25 pay line game that includes Scatter Symbols, Stacked Wilds, and Random Multipliers. Players can also unlock a bonus game where they can enjoy between 15 and 25 free spins.

Big Ben is a medium volatility pokie. If you've played the original Queen of the Nile game, then this one functions much the same way. The one caveat to this is that the free spins are tighter as they only pay out 2x multipliers. That said, the game pays out often, though big wins are obviously less frequent. According to the casino reps I've spoken to, the game has a return to player percentage of 95.5% which is about average for Aristocrat games.

Summary

Having traveled to London and visited Big Ben myself, this game has something of a sentimental feel to it. Truth be told, it is a solid though somewhat unremarkable game. Personally speaking, I much prefer Where's the Gold and 50 Lions, but for fans of British culture or games that give good bang for your buck, then this one could well be a winner. Enjoy.
